The 'Doudanuki' shinai has a thick grip, and make for kendo players with big hands, which will make it easy to grip strongly than a normal grip shinai.
Our experienced craftsman selects the best bamboo for the extra large grip shinai and refines it with the thought of balance at the highest level.
*This Shinai can undergo a special oil treatment where it is soaked in a special oil formula. A process that will take 5 days to complete. This will make the Shinai last longer in area that has a low humidity (dry environment), it also makes the Shinai more impact resistant and longer durability.
