WASHING
INSTRUCTIONS |
By
following the washing instructions provided below, you
will help to maintain the overall condition and life of
the product: |
Kendogi |
- Turn
inside out.
- Hand
wash with cold or warm water.
- A
small amount of soap or detergent may be used, but
please do so sparingly.
- Do
not use bleach or any detergents with bleach as an
ingredient.
- Rinse
thoroughly by hand until all soap and dirt are removed,
and hand squeeze out any excess water.
- Hang
dry in a dark or shady locations; avoid direct sunlight.

Hakama |
- Follow
the same instructions provided for washing kendogi
above.
- When
rinsing, do not hand squeeze; instead, hand press
out excess water
(For example, this can be done by placing the hakama
on the bottom of a bathtub and then pressing firmly).
- When
drying out in a shady location out of direct sunlight,
hang the hakama up by using the loop located inside
the back.

These
washing methods will help to maintain the quality fabric's
suppleness and indigo dye's color strength through many
years of use. |
